Overview and facts about the system.
A brief guide to the most important questions about newen.
What is newen?
Is newen a marketplace or a retailer?
Neither. newen is an infrastructure. We do not purchase goods or operate warehouses. Instead, we connect stock directly with manufacturers and certified buyers — in a structured, fast and direct manner.
What sets newen apart from traditional resellers?
Traditional resellers operate on a selective, transaction-based basis. newen organises the entire market as a system. Original manufacturers are given first access, after which the entire network comes into play.
No middlemen. No loss of structure.
What sets newen apart from in-house solutions?
In-house solutions remain isolated. They do not provide market access. newen connects stock directly with manufacturers, retailers and partners across Europe. This delivers reach, speed and structure.
How does it work?
Do I have to enter my stock levels manually?
No.
Just send a photo. Add the manufacturer and quantity – that’s it. newen will take care of identification and processing.
How soon will I receive a reply?
Once your listing has been posted, all relevant parties will be notified. Feedback will be received promptly and will evolve as the process progresses. The total duration depends on the stock levels and the decisions taken within the network.
Who organises the collection and processing?
newen coordinates the entire process. From the initial enquiry to the final handover, everything is managed through a centralised system.
Collection and payment are arranged directly between the seller and the buyer.
Can I choose who gets my furniture?
All offers come together with you. You remain in control at all times and make the final decision.
Who is part of the network?
Who is part of the network?
First, the original manufacturer. Then the entire registered network of dealers and partners. All access is structured and traceable.
How is quality ensured within the network?
Through the involvement of original manufacturers and a curated network of partners. All parties involved form part of a system with clearly defined roles – supported by the IBA, the leading association of the European office furniture industry.
What kind of furniture can be donated via newen?
All office and workplace furnishings. Individual pieces, ranges, entire sites — even mixed collections can be easily integrated.
What will happen to the stock?
What happens if no buyer is found?
Stock does not remain unsold. If no direct buyer can be found, specialist partners take over the re-use or professional disposal of the stock.
Are there any charges for using the service?
The structure is designed to make processes more efficient and significantly reduce the workload. Details will be agreed on a case-by-case basis.
Who is newen designed for?
Does newen also work for large companies with multiple sites?
Yes. newen has been designed from the outset to handle large, complex collections.
More locations do not mean more work, just more data within the same system. Digital recording and centralised management make even mixed collections manageable.
Does newen work internationally as well?
Yes.
The network covers the whole of Europe and can track stock across all locations.
